Hi pupils!

As promised, here are the extra word problems you may want to try. :) Answers will be revealed on this blog on Monday... Have a good long weekend.. make sure you do all your homework! :P

Same method as Average WS (1) Question 7
1. Pete has $78. Harry has twice as much money as Pete. What is the average amount of money each boy has?

2. Luke has two and one-quarter metres of rope. Samy has three-quarter metres more than Luke. What is the average length of rope each boy has?

3. The average number of stickers between 4 girls is 40. Lucy has 26 stickers, Penny has 47 stickers and Lucy has 57 stickers. How many stickers does the fourth girl have?

4. The average mass of 3 boys is 45 kg. Two of the boys are 56kg and 34kg. What is the mass of the third boy?

5. The average height of 2 men is 1.65m. When the third man joins them, their average height becomes 1.6m. What is the height of the third man?

6. The average age of three girls is 16 years. When a fourth girl joins them, their average height becomes 13 years. How old is the fourth girl?
